Many beginners, having started playing, are faced with the problem of pumping a certain branch of tanks. But no one can help 100%, as it depends on the individual abilities of the player to fight and his style of play. Everyone must make this choice for themselves. However, first you should decide on the types of tanks, and based on this information, choose a branch for improvement.

Types of tanks

Tanks are divided into types that have special characteristics. It's best to start upgrading two or three branches at the same time, since you can't play much with one tank.

Light tanks (LT) - are used by the team as reconnaissance, as they have speed, maneuverability and low visibility. The priority goals are the detection of the enemy and the desired destruction of light objects.

Medium tanks (ST) - are the golden mean, which is used both to support the allies and to carry out an instant attack on the rear of the enemy.

Heavy tanks (TT) are the leading power of the team. They move slowly, but they hit brutally, so they are forced to be located far in the defense or, conversely, make a hole in the enemy's defense.

Tank Destroyers (PT) are the optimal vehicles for destroying the enemy, hitting with precision and precision. Their projectiles are capable of penetrating even the heaviest armor. However, their low mobility and lack of a turret make them vulnerable to light and nimble enemy tanks.

Self-propelled guns (or in the people "Arta") - artillery is designed to provide fire support to allies, and being located anywhere on the map. Conducting a competent attack can affect the outcome of the battle.

But you should not focus only on the tank. After all, it is the map, landscape, game level and other indicators that determine the role of the tank and influence the course of the battle. The ability to work in a team is developed over time, so it is important for each player to learn how to determine their place and correctly use the characteristics of the car for the benefit of the allies.

Important points on buildup

Let's pay some attention to all types of tanks and consider how their characteristics can affect the outcome of the battle. Among all the tanks, the LTs are considered the most nimble, which are used by tankers to determine the location of the enemy. In order to benefit the team, with the help of a light tank, you can well spoil the enemy tank destroyers and self-propelled guns, which are distinguished by low maneuverability.

Therefore, you can start developing from the branch of domestic LTs, which have an excellent balance between maneuverability and damage. Paying attention to the ST, keep in mind that a certain tank manifests itself differently in different locations, game modes and situations. STs are dynamic and relatively maneuverable, which gives them an advantage over heavy tanks. Therefore, if you are going to upgrade this branch, pay attention to the T-62A.

Paying attention to the TT, we should highlight the branch of Germany. It is on them that it is best to start playing for a beginner, since many mistakes are forgiven for such tanks. At the same time, the armor can withstand multiple hits, and the damage inflicted on the enemy will help decide the outcome of the battle. The German Mouse is the pinnacle of this ascent and every player must ride it.

Focusing on tank destroyers, it should be borne in mind that Soviet tanks have the most balanced tanks, Germany has the best armor, and the United States delivers the most powerful damage to the enemy. When choosing self-propelled guns, be guided by the fact that they need mobility in order to frequently change location and most effectively deal damage. Before you start pumping, study the selected tank and compare it with others.

Sep 14, 2016 Game guides

Tanks are the center of World of Tanks Blitz. Understanding the differences between tanks and knowing which country's tanks are best for you is half the battle. In this guide, I will try to describe the Soviet tank development tree in as much detail as possible, but at the same time I will not go to extremes and will not paint huge tables with numerical data for each tank. The purpose of this guide is to give you an idea of the direction in which you would like to develop your Soviet tanks. Also in our blog you can find a general guide for all nations and deep guides for each of them..

If you have already read the general guide on tanks of different nations, then this paragraph will not tell you anything new - but otherwise, or for repetition, you should familiarize yourself with it before we go directly to the tanks.

Soviet tanks can generally be described as fast and powerful. Of course, they have their weaknesses - the sides of their hulls are usually not very reliable, and the accuracy of the guns is by no means the highest - but they are compensated by serious advantages in speed, thick frontal armor and a huge caliber of guns. Of course, all tanks are different, but if we describe them in general, we can say that they are all divided into two types - light and fast, which must drive up, shoot, drive away and shoot again while the enemy is turning around and heavy, which are able to take one direct hit to the frontal armor and stay alive.

Now let's move on to a more detailed review of the tanks of the USSR.

Light tanks of the USSR

LungsSoviet Union tanks are some of the fastest tanks in the game, allowing them to quickly spot enemies on the map and flank the slower tanks of other nations. These tanks are difficult to hit effectively due to their angled armor, but when hit they take high damage. The first tank of the Soviet branch is the light MS-1, the fastest and lightest tank of the 1st tier. He is able to upgrade the turret to the second level and install two cannons of the second level on it, one of which (23mm caliber) has a high rate of fire, but reduced penetration and aiming speed, and the other (45mm caliber) shoots slower, but has high penetration and is able to destroy other light tanks with 3-4 shots. These characteristics make the first tank of the Soviet branch, the MS-1, one of the best tanks for beginners who want to try out the role of a scout and focus on movement speed. In the future, light tanks of the USSR are divided into branches of the second rank BT and T (BT-2 and T-26, respectively), then they go to the third rank with BT-7 and T-46. The BT-7 subsequently makes it possible to develop a light tank of the fourth rank, the A-20, from which a transition is made to the well-known medium-class tank T-34. The T-46, on the other hand, allows you to move to the middle class earlier, having in the followers of the T-28, a medium-class tank of the fourth rank. As is clear from the text above, after the first light MS-1, Soviet tanks developed along two lines. The first line contains BTs - fast tanks that can quickly accelerate and gain high speed, but have weak armor and inflict little damage to enemies due to the low level of penetration in the installed guns. The second line, T, is more combat-oriented and has increased flotation and maneuverability coupled with higher caliber weapons. The downside is the speed, inferior to BT, and still the same weak armor. The BT branch takes longer to develop to the middle class, but the first representative of this class on this branch is the famous T-34, which has good damage and speed indicators, and, in the future, its improved version, the T-34-85, capable of performing almost any role in battle . The T branch is capable of producing a medium-class tank already at rank four, but this tank, the T-28, is inferior to many tanks of this rank due to weak armor and large size. In the future, this tank "evolves" into the KV-1, a powerful armored tank capable of using three completely different guns for any style of play.

Medium tanks of the USSR

MediumSoviet tanks are considered by many to be the best tanks of this class in the game. Why? First of all, because of their diversity and mobility in performing any task on the battlefield. The T-34 and KV-1 indicated above indicate the further development of medium tanks of the USSR up to the T-43 of the seventh rank - the T and KV branches, respectively, represent faster and more armored tanks. The T-43, on the other hand, combines the mobility of the T-branch and the armor of the KV branch, suffering in terms of penetration of its guns. The T-44 and T-54 tanks following him focus on mobility, speed and size reduction, while increasing the damage dealt. From the T-54 tanks of the middle class of the Soviet branch again fork and at the tenth rank can be developed into the Object 140 or T-62A. The Object 140 is an experimental tank with great speed and maneuverability and the ability to inflict massive damage on the enemy, but suffers from weak armor and easily destroyed modules. The T-62A is a tank with high accuracy, powerful turret armor and considerable speed, whose guns have high penetration rates. Its disadvantages are that its shot has significant recoil, and the hull armor is rather weak.

Heavy tanks of the USSR

heavy tanks of the USSR are also divided into two branches - KV and IS. The KV branch departs from the T-28 medium tank and has heavy frontal armor and high-caliber weapons, while the IS branch is characterized by mobility and angular armor, allowing close combat to be carried out quickly and decisively. The first tank of the KV branch, the KV-1, is good because its armor is the same in all places - this allows you to make it almost impenetrable, placing it at an angle of 45 degrees to the opponent. Also, this tank can be equipped with a 122mm gun, which will make it a powerful opponent even for the “thickest” tanks. But its disadvantages are low speed, low maneuverability, low accuracy and low visibility. If fast tank scouts work well in your team, then this will not be a problem - but if an unmarked enemy is near yours, then it will be much more difficult for you to aim at him. The KV-1 could be further developed into the KV-1S, its lighter and more mobile version, the KV-2, a vehicle for destroying tanks of any strength, and the “fat” destructive tank T-150. The difference between these three options is very critical - the KV-1S and KV-2 do not have the strongest armor, and the T-150 can stop almost any shots with proper positioning; The KV-1S is faster than the other two models, while the KV-2 is capable of firing 152mm rounds (!). In general, all these three models are distinguished by a high caliber of guns, but at the same time they are distinguished by a low reload speed when firing from high-caliber cannons, and only the T-150 has sufficiently strong armor (while losing maneuverability and speed). The KV-13 tank, "evolving" from the KV-1S tank, is moving to the IS branch - a fairly durable heavy tank with excellent maneuverability and speed. The IS emanating from it is distinguished by the same mobility, but at the same time it is capable of quickly firing powerful 122mm caliber projectiles, which makes it extremely dangerous in close combat. Further IS models, IS-3 and IS-8, continue to develop in this direction - high maneuverability and speed make them the most mobile tanks of their rank, and their powerful weapons can penetrate the armor of any opponents. The price is weak armor and a low level of "health" of the tank. The final version of the development of this branch is the tank of the tenth rank IS-7. The IS-7 has high speed and good turret armor, while the gun of this tank is capable of penetrating thick armor. Low accuracy and low speed will not allow this tank to destroy opponents from afar, but it will cope with the task of holding the enemy perfectly. The KV line, meanwhile, is developing along a different path - the KV-3 and KV-4 tanks, following the T-150, have the most powerful armor, but completely sacrifice speed. Their task is to hide allies behind them and divert fire, as they are able to withstand hits of almost any power when properly positioned. But you need to understand that the speed and maneuverability of these tanks is very low - it is most likely that you will not be able to escape in case of danger, so the maximum maneuvers available to you when an overwhelming enemy force is on the offensive is positioning your tank at such an angle as to receive less damage. The next tank in this line, ST-I, is distinguished by a powerful turret and good side armor of the hull, as well as high accuracy and caliber of guns. It is faster than previous models, but not so much that you can change battle tactics based on speed - rather, you need to understand that such a tank is more designed for battles at medium distances due to shooting accuracy. The final tank of this branch, the IS-4, is the heaviest and slowest tank in the USSR. It can withstand damage from almost any direction and projectiles often ricochet off of it - but at the same time it moves extremely slowly. The IS-4 is a fortress tank that serves as a shield for any other allied tanks and is capable of inflicting moderate damage to the enemy.

Tank Destroyers of the USSR

The first tank destroyer of the Soviet Union is unlocked at the second rank, right after the MS-1 light tank - and this is the tank destroyer AT-1. It is small and very mobile - and at the same time deals very good damage to enemies at long distances. The main problem is that it itself explodes after one good hit or a couple of not very accurate ones, so even light tanks (and perhaps especially light tanks due to their speed) will be a big problem for the AT-1 at close range. Its descendant, the SU-76, is actually a stronger copy of the AT-1, but when fully upgraded, it greatly outperforms its ancestor in its rate of fire. The next tank destroyer, the SU-85B, is a perfect "sniper" - its powerful gun and very high mobility guarantee a hit on any enemy, but the almost complete lack of armor makes it extremely vulnerable, especially to explosive projectiles. Further "evolutions" of the USSR tank destroyers do not differ much from those indicated - the speed and penetration of shells increase, the level of armor is reduced - up to the Object 704, which suddenly loses in speed and guidance accuracy, but acquires powerful armor. The tactics of playing for this tank destroyer change significantly - instead of constant maneuvers, you need to choose the most protected position, turn your frontal armor towards the enemy and aim accurately. The next tank destroyer, the Object 268, loses mobility issues, but gains weak spots on the frontal armor - making it an agile "sniper" again, but still able to withstand inaccurate shots at the edges and turrets.

Conclusion

We have covered almost everythingnon-premiumtanks of the Soviet Union. Some models were considered in more detail due to their exclusivity and efficiency, others were skipped, as they are improved versions of their predecessors. After reading this guide, you can get a complete picture of the features of the tanks of the USSR and decide how (and whether it is worth it) to develop the development branch of this nation. I hope that this knowledge will help you in battles both on the side of Soviet tanks and in the battle against them. Fight like a pro in World of Tanks Blitz!

No matter how anyone scolds WoT Blitz, and no matter how unreasonably high the prices of the “donator” store are, we will still continue to play this game. Not because it is the limit of our gaming dreams. But simply because at the moment there are no sensible alternatives for mobile platforms. From the word at all. That is why today we will talk about which level 10 car you should download first. And why.

In our forced favorite game at the moment there are 4 classes of vehicles. These are heavy, medium and light tanks, as well as those that are hated by the "drivers" of the first three classes of tank destroyers. There is still no artillery here. Amen and praise to game designers. And light tanks in the face of the newcomer Type 62 have just crossed the line of the 7th level. So the choice comes down to tt, st and fri. Before proceeding directly to the analysis of machines, I will dwell in more detail on the selection criteria. In each category of equipment, our choice fell on two cars. Why is that? The reason lies in the different level of skill dependence. So, if your nickname in the game is alex_<любой_набор_букв_и_цифр>, and the level of gaming skills, to put it mildly, leaves much to be desired, then the choice is obvious. Alyoshkotanki is the only option. The rest will consider first of all the technique that allows you to achieve maximum results, but does not forgive mistakes. Let's start, as usual, with TT.

Alyoshko-heavy. IS-7

The dream of every Alex in the post-Soviet space, a machine of unrestrained genocide of crustaceans and simply the “worst tank of the vine”. It is worth pumping it if the desire to get a tank of the 10th level in the hangar as soon as possible dominates over common sense. If you don’t have the necessary experience yet, a deep understanding of game mechanics, and you go to WoT Blitz first of all to get a blast, then the IS-7 is your choice.

the best tank of war ©

Ricochet and wildly angled armor. Cheat shielded boards. Almost impenetrable tower in the frontal projection. Quite decent dynamics is provided by the ratio of 15 horsepower per ton. As a result, we get a maximum speed of 50 km / h. Which, combined with complex armor, makes the IS-7 an extremely difficult target. The machine forgives the beginner even gross mistakes.

However, it was not without drawbacks. The turret traverse speed of 18º/s does not allow you to effectively counter medium and simply more dynamic tanks in close combat. And the 130 mm S-70 cannon, although it can boast of damage per minute at the level of 2719 units, but this is where all its advantages end. The 12.7 second reload time, 2.9 second aim time and 0.4 spread all sound like a death sentence.

As a result, we get a perfectly armored and mobile heavy tank with a very mediocre gun for a tier 10. It will not allow its owner to show recursive damage. But at the same time, it is capable of holding back a flank attack in a well-chosen position.

Skilo-heavy. T110E5

The combination of strong armor and decent dynamics in the American version. But this machine for the formation of democracy has another indisputable advantage - a tool. With a more modest alpha strike, it is able to provide the player with two extra shots per minute and a DPM of 3000. The spread at 100 meters is divine 0.35. Which for a heavy tank is just a sniper indicator. And the mixing speed, equal to 2 s, completes the already masterpiece picture.

universal heavy tank

Yes, many will scold the 120 mm M58 cannon for more modest armor penetration indicators than the S-70 with the base projectile. And the tank itself - behind the cardboard sides. But the combination of advantages listed above can, in capable hands, not only cover the shortcomings, but also bring the E5 to a fundamentally different league in terms of performance.

In general, despite the absence of the latest commander’s turret armor ups and other game design innovations of the PC version of the game in Blitz, we have before us the best heavy tank of the 10th level for skill players. damage. And it will not boast of a giant alpha strike that demotivates the enemy, as the E100 does. But versatility, accuracy, and sufficient armor for competent tank duels make the T110E5 indispensable on the battlefield. A game of maneuver. Tanking with a tower on the second line. Long-range skirmishes with the enemy. All this is its direct purpose.

Alyoshko-EsTe. E-50M

Design Bureau named after Serb. A tank that did not really exist even on paper. He is able to attract a beginner with the same thing as the IS-7 - the ability to forgive some mistakes. Players who pump out medium tanks in the first place, by default, are very different from fans of strong armor. And therefore, one should not expect fierce tanking and an adamantium corps from the este. Nevertheless, it is the E-50 M that is able to provide the player with the maximum level of protection for medium tanks. Armor under wild slopes. 80 mm sides, carefully covered with screens. All this allows you to catch ricochets and non-penetration in the frontal projection. And it is also very confident to tank the 8th and even some 9th levels with the board.

MBT performed by the Third Reich

With mobility, everything is very debatable. On the one hand, the maximum speed of 60 km / h inspires respect. But on the other hand, the speed of rotation of the hull and turret is far from ideal. Therefore, a duel with a more maneuverable opponent at close range, "here um" is highly likely to lose.

The gun is another strong point of the E-50 M. The 105mm L 52 has a spread of 0.3. Aim time is 2.1s and reload time is 8.5s stock. And the armor penetration and alpha strike, which is quite tolerable for a medium tank, dispel any doubts.

As a result, we get a comfortable, conditionally armored, fast, but not too agile medium tank. A kind of intermediate link between TT and Art. What in our time is called the main battle tank. Or OBT. It is the E-50 M that allows even an unprepared player to easily understand and feel the gameplay of medium tanks.

Skilo-EsTe. About. 140

Breaking the Pattern - Tier 10 Soviet medium tank can also be skill-dependent! Of course, many will rightly note that with such an armored turret, this tank is quite usable even by beginners. Yes it is. But the Object 140 is not a tank just behind the mounds. Therefore, you will not be able to properly use the armored cap. And the lack of screens on the sides will make you half-hearted ten times before trying to tank from the corner in the hope of a life-giving rebound.

The 140th is a dynamic melee tank. Despite the maximum speed inferior to the German counterpart, the Soviet project boasts excellent maneuverability. The speed of rotation of the hull and turret leaves no chance for those who want to “spin” the Object 140.

The gun, despite the relatively quick aiming and good stabilization, cannot be called a sniper. A spread of 0.35 can significantly complicate a player's life. After all, we are talking about medium tanks. And that means shooting on the move. To sweeten the pill, the best among classmates (on a par with the T-62A) PDM for a couple with a mixing of 2.0 s is called. But still, we are looking at a weapon for close and medium ranges. Ricochet armor and a rapid-fire cannon make the 140th a versatile melee soldier. His task is to turn opponents on the axis of the universe. Don't get shot. Yes, 140 is not a Leopard 1 crystal chariot. And not a feisty STB-1 samurai, committing seppuku after the first hit with a land mine. But you should not expect that he will forgive you the same mistakes as the E-50 M.

Aleshko-Pete. FV215b 183

The absence in your favorite game of all sorts of alternative branches of German and Soviet anti-tank guns, generated by the twilight genius of the Serb Design Bureau, plunges mobile Alekhans into the abyss of despair. How so? In WoT Blitz, well, not only is there no art, but you can’t even stand in the bushes. Nightmare, horror, delete the game. Not really. You really can't stand in the bushes on the 183rd. But you can demotivate the enemy team with a killer alpha strike. Yes, you will need gold. Mono. A lot of gold. And this tank will by no means generate income in battles. But you can feel the full power of hash bombs.

183 even has some armor in places. And mobility. 183 can really drive. Don't crawl, go. Of course, it is not necessary to count on unbridled dynamics. But if necessary, it will not be difficult to move from one flank to another.

successful passage World of Tanks Blitz you will be provided with knowledge of game secrets and tricks. Our knowledge base will tell you how to play correctly and defeat opponents without dying.

Haste is the enemy

Do not rush during the passage of the gameplay. Anyone who rushes forward dies quickly enough. And in most cases, he does not have time to bring at least some benefit to his team.

Before the start of the battle, it is worthwhile to figure out what kind of tanks your team has, to see who is attacking and in what direction. It is also very useful to study the mini-map and the marks that your comrades place.

If you notice that someone is working in a team, then it is worth giving possible assistance in their direction, because the actions of such players are more coordinated.

Proper use of the chosen tank

In this game project, three types of tanks are provided: light, medium and heavy. Also here you will find a sufficient number of anti-tank self-propelled guns (PT-ACS). Its main characteristics depend on the "weight" of the tank: speed, armor and gun power. That is why it is worth determining your role in the battle, paying attention to the characteristics of the tank.

Make it a rule - having bought a new tank, do not rush into battle. First, read its manuals, study the characteristics to understand its strengths and weaknesses. Try your best to get similar knowledge on all the tanks that are found on the battlefield.

They are the best scouts at the beginning of the gameplay. When playing this type of tank, try to move into enemy territory as quickly as possible and open hidden targets for more powerful allies. When conducting reconnaissance, try not to stop even for a moment, because while moving at speed it is very difficult to hit you, and in your case it is better than any armor. If, nevertheless, the battle could not be avoided, and the enemy is more powerful than you, then try to “circle” him. To do this, you will need to ride circles around the enemy tank all the time and at the same time shoot him in the stern. In any case, try in every possible way not to call in various villages if necessary - it will be much more difficult for your tank to maneuver there, which means it will be much more difficult to defend. It is also necessary to constantly monitor the movements of your team, because reconnaissance will be pointless in the direction where more powerful comrades are not present.

They have a certain similarity with the lungs, but are armed and equipped with armor that allows them to engage in battle and hold the blow for quite a long time. As they reach a higher level of development, their speed increases to such an extent that they are able to completely take over the role of scout from light tanks. In any case, during the battle on a medium tank, you need to carefully monitor the position. Try to attack the enemy from a more favorable direction for you. After all, you are not endowed with such armor that could withstand a head-on battle with heavy equipment.

They are the most powerful weapons with excellent armor, but just disgusting movement speed. It is easy enough for a heavy tank to hold out even against several opponents. Just do not assume that it is suitable for a single game - this is a big mistake. On the contrary, this is a command combat vehicle. After all, it is very difficult for a heavy tank to get out of a difficult situation, and left alone with a numerous enemy, it eventually dies. Constantly and closely follow the progress of your comrades, representatives of faster vehicles should be let forward, choosing more convenient positions for shooting. For example, so that some kind of shelter is very close, and at the same time a large area is well shot through.

Anti-tank self-propelled guns equipped with good protection and excellent weapons. It's just that it's rather complicated to use. After all, the self-propelled gun does not have a tower, and therefore, for guidance, it is necessary to turn the entire body, which happens very slowly. During an open battle, there is a chance that any tank will be able to twist you. That is why you should try to act in such a way that you always have the opportunity to calmly aim at the enemy. That is, it is best to be at the very end of the battle formations and always occupy some kind of shelter, from which you can then work on the enemy.

It's better to forget about auto-aim

It is worth resorting to the help of an auto-aim only during a battle on the move, and even in this case, its use should be minimized. Even at the very beginning of the passage of the gameplay, it is worth paying a lot of attention to aiming in order to learn well. Get into the habit of waiting for the full engagement of the cannon. Practice taking the lead and successfully find the weak points of the enemy tank's hull.

How to set up a tank

The forehead is the most protected place in the tank, but its sides and stern are much less armored. Judging by these parameters, the decision to turn to the enemy with his forehead just begs, but this is not quite the right decision. The best position of the tank towards the enemy is a rhombus. Place the tank in such a way that the forehead and one side are turned towards the enemy. This makes it more likely that the projectile may ricochet and not deal much damage.

Proper use of cover

To successfully complete World of Tanks Blitz, remember the first simple rule - if possible, do not stop the tank in an open area. An exception may be the moment when you are given a convenient moment to shoot at enemy positions. Otherwise, always take some suitable cover before stopping.

Also, do not forget that during the movement it is also possible to use shelters. For example, on hilly terrain, you can get close to the enemy by moving along the reverse slope of the hill. While driving around the city, it is worth "cutting off" the turns so that your combat vehicle leaves the corner with a diamond. Thus, it is worth placing the tank even when you need to take cover around the corner.

Hills are good cover

In any tank, the gun can be deflected vertically both down (reverse declination angle) and up. Try to position your tank at the top of a hill on a slope in such a way that only the upper part of the hull is visible, but at the same time you are under cover.

Correct maneuvering during close combat

When trying to twist the enemy, it is worth using one simple trick - turning the turret and hull in the same direction. With such a simple maneuver, you can speed up the rotation of the tank's gun barrel.

Attack with your team

If a large-scale battle is foreseen somewhere, then in this case it is worth remembering one simple truth - the whole team goes on the attack, and in a fairly simple formation. Everything is simple here: if your team has at least one more tank in service, then there is a high probability of defeating the enemy thanks to additional weapons and armor, which will take on some of the damage caused by the enemy. In the event that that additional tank remains somewhere in the shelter, then at the most crucial moment of the confrontation, it simply will not have time to work on the enemy.

  • Remember the simple truth - almost any tank in its original state (immediately after purchase) is not good at all. You can evaluate a combat vehicle only after pumping the main modules. And during the game, also pay attention to their characteristics, some of them without much need.
  • From the very beginning of the passage, get used to an accurate game. Do not break away from your team by first pushing through the enemy flag, do not engage in a single battle with an enemy who is stronger than you. If necessary, call your allies for help, for this the SOS button is provided.
  • Carefully select positions where there is good cover. This is especially true if you play a very mobile tank with weak armor. Constantly look at the mini-map so that the enemy does not sneak up unnoticed from the flank or side.
  • Pay a lot of attention to a good and detailed study of the map in order to determine more favorable points for firing and reliable shelters on them. In World of Tanks Blitz, on each map there are already several typical routes for teams to follow, you should also take them into account.
  • Visit specialized forums where there is information about your tanks and the main tanks of the enemy. Learn how to properly use the armor of your combat vehicle (for example, it is better to play from a strong turret) and know exactly where to shoot at an opponent (on the sides above the tracks, stern, hatches and machine gun nests in the front). Always place the tank in a diamond if it is equipped with at least some significant or ricochet armor.
  • At lower game levels, preference should be given to a high-explosive gun. It has, of course, poor accuracy and takes a long time to recharge, but enemies of levels 1-3 can be destroyed even without a scope. Yes, and at the fifth level, this tool can be very useful. For the lack of a high-explosive gun in the arsenal, you can take a gun, just pay attention to its armor penetration indicators, the higher they are, the better, of course.
  • Don't waste your free experience. With it, you can purchase pre-top or top-end guns, without which it is almost impossible to enjoy playing on some tanks.

In connection with the recent good news that WoT Blitz was released on PC (though only for Win10), I decided to make a visual comparison of our classic version of the game WOT With Blitz "ohm, as well as to discuss both games and their game problems. To begin with, I will express my opinion about both games.

Ordinary "potato" tanks I do not like. This game spoils the nerves and does not bring pleasure. Since I can’t bear to research and buy all the tanks in the game myself (due to the lack of balance and the presence of such cacti in research branches that I want to cry), I played on the test of version 9.15.

This version is a small breakthrough in a good way, because the changes in it are all positive (except for the nerve vol. 54), and I hope that further patches will only get better. But, sadly, 9.15 does not solve the main gaming problems. Where is the promised nerf art? Where is the ap of cactus tanks like M5 Stuart, M7, AMX40?

After testing those tanks that I had a heart for (like STB-1, T-62A, RU251, jdPzE100), I realized that I'd better forget about this game until better times.

Now about the port Wot Blitz on PC- it's just superb!

I love absolutely everything about this game. There are little things that are annoying, but basically the game is just weird! And there is a balance, and a starting bonus, and new cards. I can praise the game for a very long time, but you won’t be full of words. So if you have Win10, go to the store and download WoT Blitz for free. You will not regret.

Comparison of games will be by all criteria, despite the fact that WoT Blitz is a port of a mobile game on PC. I will evaluate each game according to the criteria on my own 5-point scale, after which I will make a table of pluses and minuses for each game.

1. Graphics

WOT

Of course, the graphics of the original WoT are head and shoulders above those in Blitz. Good shaders, DirectX11 support in 9.15, HD models of some tanks - it's all done at a good level. 4 out of 5 because HD maps (which are already on the Xbox360 version) have no HD skyboxes or new effects.

WoT Blitz

In Blitz, the graphics are significantly worse (relative to the realism that WoT strives for). But I can't call it bad. Yes, there are no HD models, not such detailed shadows, not such lighting and glare, etc. This graphic is from a different category. Like the graphics in Borderlands, Torchlight 2 and similar games, they look a bit cartoony. Something toy. And I even like it, because the original WoT will never come to realism. The visual part of Blitz pleases the eye, a very pleasant and soft picture. In general, I give WoT Blitz graphics 3 out of 5, because it will be more objective. But on sensations - both games are pleasing to the eye.

2. Game physics

WOT

In 9.14 (or maybe earlier, I don't remember anymore) they introduced new physics and a new physics engine. In 9.15 they more or less brought it into balance (since in 9.14 the vehicles turned over very often, as if they were made of plywood, and also removed the sticking of tanks to each other). In general - physics at 9.15 (test) is pleasant. But there are little things that are very annoying. Like intangible gun barrels, jerking tanks in the distance, enemy illumination mechanics. I rate physics at 4.5 out of 5.

WoT Blitz

In WoT Blitz, the physics, as if from version 9.0 of conventional tanks, is very familiar, without any surprises. I didn't notice any difference, to say the least. I also like this kind of physics, because in this case it has a positive effect on the gameplay, so 4 out of 5 points.

3. Gameplay

The general type of gameplay in these games is similar: tank battles with a time limit on different small maps. But there are key differences, which I will now discuss.

WOT

In a regular WoT, in terms of gameplay, everything is very, very dull. The variability of the game is almost absent, the cards are really boring. I’m already silent about how wretchedly they are dug up over and over again, or generally good cards are removed from the game. What is surprising - the plot of the game is the same! The main gameplay issues are artillery, maps, and balance. And a carload of unpleasant little things. These factors are key issues in the game that people in the WG office seem to be unaware of.

How does everything happen in the game? Battles 15 vs 15 tanks on the map 600m \ 1km. Let's take a look at the cards.

This is a problem, sometimes there is really not enough space for tanks. Yes, and the cards themselves - some of them are so crookedly made that there is no balance in terms of respawns. Even according to statistics - 45% from one and 55% from another spawn.

For example, let's take Ruinberg . The central street is inclined towards the upper spawn, there is a backache along the central street in the save. On the other hand, it doesn't. Why? We take another card: Lasville . From the bottom spawn, the whole city and the church are shot through, since it is turned towards this spawn. This is very unbalanced! More questions about the cards: what for 2 identical cards like Fire Arc and Prokhorovka ? Why removed Dragon's backbone and Overlord ? There were good cards, as for me, although there was a variability of the game.

The second problem - and this is indirectly related to the cards. This is artillery. It should not exist at all, and if it should, then there must be a remedy against it. This is the most unbalanced, the most terrible and miserable class of the game. Artillery simply does not allow other classes to play normally, especially with the current accuracy in the game. Even the heaviest TTs cannot tank shells flying from above. Because of this, the relevance of many machines, the variability of the game is simply annihilated. How do you tank art on the map like Robins on the E100, for example? In general, a lot of words were said about artillery, a lot of monitors were broken, etc. You all already understand, I think, so let's move on.

The third gameplay issue is balance. But we will talk about it a little lower, in a separate section. Now I want to pay attention to the little things in the game, which sometimes get in the way.

I'll start with consumables. In WoT - 3 slots for consumables of all kinds. When using a consumable, it is not restored in battle, and this is inconvenient. You have only 1 chance, for example, to repair a harp or something else, and places to buy extra. there are no consumables. Given the artillery (it almost always shoots down the harp, and if it's a level 6 FV, you won't get to the TT alive) - this is especially inconvenient.

Another issue is the possibility of a teamkill. It should not be at all, it really interferes with the gameplay. He hit mine by accident and killed him. And sometimes there are such allies - they test the gun on their own. Usually ends with a drain.

Overall conclusion: a balance of 2 out of 5 points.

WoT Blitz

And here is the complete order. The battles are 7 vs 7, the maps are small in size, but for 7 tanks - that's what you need. And, what is remarkable - only 3 cards from the original game, the rest are new! There are 16 cards in total, but the game variability is present on them. You never know where the allies will go, and you yourself are free to choose your own direction. All maps are very balanced, each map has its own "fish" places. In general - complete freedom.

Most importantly, Blitz does not have artillery as a class, and this is the biggest advantage over the original game. The remaining 4 classes have been rebalanced and are played in perfect harmony, but more on that below.

Of the features of the gameplay - a very convenient sight with an indicator of the enemy's armor, recharge (90s) of all consumables during the battle, special slots for additional. consumables such as additional soldering (equipment) and for ammunition. I was very pleased with the new system with the crew: it is common for all tanks. I bought a new tank - you teach the crew to ride it, but the skills are not lost.

Of the other amenities and little things that made me very happy - changing the type of projectile without reloading (this is very convenient), infusing free experience into the crew experience (ratio 1 to 2), a starting bonus of 2 days of PA, 1800 gold, constantly updated X2 bonuses and combat tasks with good rewards (sometimes they even give PA).

The gameplay itself can be assessed as active, varied and interesting. And you can tank, and twist the TT and PT, and shoot from a distance. In general, I rate the gameplay 4.5 out of 5 points. I made a minus for the fact that (for some reason) the sight in sniper mode is a little cottony, and the feeling that the tower barely rotates, and another inconvenience is the interface in the hangar. Not everyone likes it, I hope they optimize it.

4. Game Balance

I wrote about the balance of cards in WoT above, here I will repeat something.

WOT

In short, there is almost no balance. There is an appearance of balance, which is obtained due to the fact that there are both crayfish and benders in the team. If the tank is a cactus, but an extra is driving the tank, he may shoot someone, but this does not mean that the tank fits into the game. The problem of balance is +- 2 levels of fights, and this is very disturbing for certain vehicles.

The strongest balance change in the game is the introduction of gold for silver. The introduction of a new (as it is now) accuracy also changed the balance of the game a lot. Armor has lost its role, at the moment there are very few tanks in the game that tank their classmates. You see TT - loaded the gold and destroyed it. You can tank on something, but tanking gold is another matter.

If you describe all the specific aspects of the balance, then you should start with tanks. I believe that at the moment half of the tanks are unbalanced. The rule of 3 calibers needs to be removed altogether, it's just some kind of wildness. The ricochet of a 170mm AP projectile can also be from a 40mm armor plate.

Regarding the health and armor of tanks. The gap between 3-4-5 levels is huge. When 3 gets to level 5, it's very bad. If you are skillful, you can get out, but usually you are cannon fodder. Like most 7s with 9s, and 6s with 8s.

Damage from tanks is also often disproportionate to the level. The hatzer at 270hp has 350 damage with a cumulative from a howitzer. It's a one-shot of a classmate in almost any case, not to mention level 3.

The game has a lot of "cacti" like M5, M3Lee, M7, AMX40, T-50, etc. They would cut the level of battles and apnut. The problem with the classes is that you need to remove the high level of LT battles. And so the technique is weak, so it also throws one level higher. What joy is this? And so they practically don’t bend, and who knows how to play on LT. I will not paint everything else, read about the problems of tanks in WoT in my blog.

If we talk about maps - many maps are unplayable due to the lack of saves from artillery. On the Malinovka how do you hide? And on Prokhorovka ? Good cards are removed, new ones are not added. Everything is bad in general with the cards.

My final balance score is 2 out of 5 points. I will not put 1, there is also something good.

WoT Blitz

Balance is Blitz's forte. Everything in this game is wonderful, as I said. The most important decision is +-1 combat level. It's just wonderful! You will never suffer in this game, and given the 7 by 7 mode, you can easily drag it alone.

There is a balance in HP and damage - damage and dpm are reduced, hp is increased (this is regarding levels 1-6). Armor in the game is felt, few people use gold because of the super-convenient sight. A bb break is almost always enough, it all depends on your skill, and not on your gold.

The balance of cards is available - everything is played very quickly, there are no "bending" or vice versa respawns. You can always run away, and tank, and twist.

If we talk about the classes of technology - they are all played and all are interesting. There has never been such a thing that the tank could not do anything against the enemy.

In general - 5 out of 5 points for the balance, I really like everything and so far I don’t see any problems at all.

Results

Total points: WoT - 12.5, WoT Blitz - 16.5

Conclusion

As a conclusion, here's what I can say - WoT Blitz switched the original game. I completely switched to Blitz, which I advise you to try. I'm waiting for the introduction of new branches, I play and have fun. And I don't suffer from artillery. How wonderful it is! try it!
