How the "sixth sense" skill works in World of Tanks. What is a light bulb in World of Tanks and how does it work? Light bulb not working 6 sense

In the community, this skill, or perk, from the English. perquisite, "benefits", "privilege" - is also called a "light bulb" because of the characteristic visualization of a light bulb lit on the screen. It is recommended to be pumped by absolutely everyone and is considered extremely useful.

"Sixth Sense" is available only to commanders and works as follows: the light bulb indicator lights up after your tank has entered the enemy's line of sight - it was "illuminated", and automatically goes out after a couple of seconds. If you came out of the light, and then got into it again, the light will turn on again.

In fact, this is the intuition of your crew commander, allowing him to feel that the tank has been seen by the enemy. In such situations, when you are standing in positions hidden, for example, by bushes and consider yourself invisible, while the enemy is approaching you from the other side, it is difficult to overestimate the usefulness of the light bulb. For tanks with weak armor, this skill significantly increases the chances of being in battle. Players coordinating the battle via voice communication must inform the team that they hit the enemy: this information helps to form a more complete picture of what is happening on the screen, predict enemy maneuvers, choose the right strategy and just come to the aid of a friend in time.

Some nuances of the "bulb"

Do not forget that, like other skills, the "sixth sense" does not work until it is pumped to 100%. As soon as the light comes on, it is urgent to change the location: remember that three seconds have already passed since the moment of light, and the enemy artillery is not asleep. Do not cut down trees and buildings while retreating: the aim of the artillery is already focused on you and nothing prevents the enemy from calculating your location by tracing - that is, by the trail of the projectile you fired.

The appearance of the light bulb and the sound signal that accompanies it can be changed as you wish. To do this, you just need to select and install the mod. Mods of such a plan - changing the light bulb, the voice acting of the crew, the sight - do not actually affect the game itself, therefore they are allowed. Lists of prohibited mods can be found on the official website of the game.

There are cases when, after updates to the game client, the light bulb stopped working. If this happens to you, do not be too lazy to record a few fights until you catch this bug on video, and be sure to send it to World of tanks technical support. For such a large-scale project, user feedback is an important part of the process of improving the game.

Sixth Sense is a tank commander perk that you should upgrade very first, as your "survivability" in battle largely depends on whether you know that your opponents can see you or not. And the lamp just helps to determine whether your enemy tank is lit up with a red dot on the minimap or not.

Attention! If the corresponding skill of the commander 6 sense is not fully pumped (or the bond consumable is not used), mods for changing the lamp will not work! Keep this in mind!

How to install 6 sense?

In fact, it doesn’t take much effort to put on a light bulb, since in my opinion this is the easiest mod for World of Tanks. There are three ways.

1) How to change a light bulb without XVM

The method is outdated and inconvenient, but is still used by some modders. Installation is extremely simple and boils down to the fact that the downloaded archive with the mod must be placed in a special folder with the game:

World_of_Tanks/res_mods/ 1.7.1.0

In such an archive, there are usually not pictures, but SWF files and folders that allow you to make animated lamps, new sounds, and so on.

In most cases, one image of the lamp is enough, so let's move on to the second point.

2) How to put a light bulb in World of Tanks 1.7.1.0 using the XVM mod?

To get started you need. You can just throw the folder from the archive into the game and not bother with its advanced functionality and complex config, since the basic things will work right away (including a simple light bulb replacement), and this is exactly what we need within the framework of this instruction.

Also, do not be afraid for your precious FPS, which will not suffer, again, if you only need XVM to install a lamp - do not include additional "heavy" features of the mod, such as an informative minimap (the most voracious element) and everything will be fine. Verified personally.

After installing the XVM mod, our new light bulb lies in the specified path: \World_of_Tanks\res_mods\mods\shared_resources\xvm\res.

Now we can throw any image in PNG format (!!!) there and the light bulb will work.

Important! The name of your lamp file must be SixthSense.png. When saving a new lamp in this folder, you must overwrite the old one (or delete it first, then put the new image there).

This method is good because you can use any image you like, even if your own photo and then the most pleasant and charming person on earth will notify you of the light

Image preparation for the lamp

The easiest way is to download a ready-made image. To do this, you can use, but if this is not enough, then we go to Google image search and drive in the following phrases:

  • bulb wot png
  • sixth sense wot png
  • and so on until you find what you like...

You can try different queries, but the most important thing is that at the end it should be " png"- this will give the search engine a command to search for images of this particular format and in 90% of cases they will be on a transparent background, which looks much more beautiful in the game.

And what to do if none of the lamp cards found fit?

Let's make a lamp ourselves, using the example of a sticker from Vkontakte in the form of a funny potato:

To get this image, the easiest way is to look at the Vkontakte element code. This can be done, for example, using the Firebug extension for all popular browsers. You can describe how to use it for a very long time, so look for information on other sites.

Let's look at the code:

It follows that the image in this path is used http://vk.com/images/stickers/147/128.png, size 128x128 pixels.

We also have the following sizes available:

You can already use these images as a lamp. To do this, save the desired folder \World_of_Tanks\res_mods\mods\shared_resources\xvm\res by renaming the file itself to SixthSense.png.

This is how it looks in the game:

But suppose that our picture was not initially on a transparent background. What to do in this case?

You can make it yourself, having a graphic editor at hand, such as Photoshop (you can easily find a free version with a crack, rummage through torrents).

1) Step one - open the image in Photoshop, click on the "Magic Wand" tool:

Then click on an empty area of the image. It is worth noting here that it is much more convenient when the background of the image is uniform, so that there is no interference with the "smart" selection:

Then just delete the background with the DELETE button on the keyboard:

Done, the picture can be saved as SixthSense.png.

If the background of the image was originally non-uniform, then you can cut out the desired part using the Lasso tool:

With it, we simply circle the desired part of the image:

If in the process the hand twitched and you made the selection crooked, you can quickly reset it with the CTRL + D combination. It is also important to "close" the selection circle. After several workouts, you can achieve the desired result.

If the lasso does not work, you can select the element using standard tools (square or oval selection) and then “polish” with the eraser.

So, in the example above, the face of the Serb was highlighted. Now we press:

  1. CTRL+C - copy the selection to the clipboard.
  2. CTRL+N - create a new empty file, press OK. The main thing here is that the background is transparent. Also pay attention to the size of the new file - by default, the size of the selected fragment is taken from the clipboard, where we copied it in the first paragraph.
  3. In the new file, press CTRL + V - paste our "clipping".

It should turn out like this:

Here you can already correct the edges with an eraser, add inscriptions, effects, and so on.

Finally, click the following - File > Save for WEB:

In the window that appears on the right, select the PNG format and check the box for Transparency:

Save the file as SixthSense.png to a folder \World_of_Tanks\res_mods\mods\shared_resources\xvm\res.

In WoT, it is customary to call a light bulb the ability of a vehicle commander to predict events in battle. How does this work in this game and what is it like?

Lightbulb in WoT- this is a kind of intuitive gift of the commander of a combat vehicle called the "sixth sense". Thanks to him, it becomes clear that the player's tank was noticed by the enemy. The meaning of this mechanism is that when your tank "detects" the enemy, after 2 seconds the light will turn on.

At the moment, there are different types of such lamps. All of them can be easily found on the Internet. In addition, it is still possible to install, which, at the moment an enemy detects you, in addition to a lit light bulb, will connect a sound siren. Such a light bulb burns for 10 seconds (this is the usual glow time).

neediness

The special ability "sixth sense" in such a game is needed for all tanks, the only exceptions are self-propelled guns, since they are usually installed in the rear of the allies in the bushes. Fri-Sau deserve close attention. They conduct covert fire, and also should alert light vehicles that (from shelters) or heavy slow tanks, easily shelled by a flurry of artillery fire. There are combat vehicles that are not difficult to break through even with one shot. You can only defend yourself against this with the help of personal skill. Players with great experience, sometimes without any auxiliary landmarks, determine that they were discovered by the enemy.

Example

Let's look at the example of the German premium. She has almost no armor, but she has an insignificant silhouette. This means that the car is easily camouflaged, but it is still not protected from an enemy projectile, since there is a possibility that it can be illuminated. Just for such a situation, you need a “sixth sense”. E25 will commit , move to a more advantageous position.

The huge Maus tank will also benefit from such skills, despite the fact that it has enough protection and is able to deflect enemy projectiles with a strong hull, but it can also be disabled without even being detected. At worst, enemy artillery will fire at you. To prevent this, you need to use our light bulb, informing in advance about the detection of you by the enemy.

What is a "light bulb" in the world of World of Tanks? With this simple name, most players called the special skill of your tank commander - "Sixth Sense". What is this skill and why is it needed in the game at all?

What bulb in World of tanks and how does it work?

"Bulb" or "Sixth Sense" - a unique skill of the commander of a combat vehicle, the appearance of which on the screen, as well as a characteristic sound, means that your vehicle was detected by enemy tanks and at the moment the enemy sees you, which means they can fire. The "light bulb" lights up after 2 seconds, as the enemy detects your tank.

"Lightbulb" inWOT is not the only animation of The Sixth Sense. On the Internet, you can find many other signs, such as the "eye of Sauron", the bombing icon and many others - their number is really greater and everyone will find something for themselves in 100% of cases. Also on the Internet you can download a special mod that will sound the “light bulb” for an additional 10 seconds. The fact is that the standard illumination time lasts 10 seconds, after the enemy first noticed. So you can understand when the enemy is unable to see you.

Is it necessary to pump the skill of the commander "Sixth Sense"?

Absolutely every experienced player will tell you that this is a must. An exception may be such a class of equipment as artillery. In other cases, the "bulb" can seriously increase the survival of your tank in battle, and therefore significantly improve post-battle results.

It happens that the view of the enemy tank can be greater than yours and he will notice you, but you will not. The only thing that will help you understand if you are now visible to the enemy team is the “Sixth Sense”. It is it that will help you avoid an unpleasant hit from someone who is not clear.

Example of the need for a lamp

You stand in the bushes on a light tank, do not shoot and highlight enemy tanks. At one fine moment, they can come close to you and then only the “light bulb” will help you understand whether you are visible to them or not. Noticing the "bulb" you will have a few seconds to maneuver and avoid hits, because the enemy team will bring down heavy fire on the newly discovered tank. Do not stand still at the same time, believing that you are in the "inviz"?

There are still many different situations where the “light bulb” will not only help you avoid one or two hits, but also save your tank from destruction, and in the best case, even help you defeat the enemy.

What are the "bulbs" in WoT

As already mentioned, if you are not satisfied with the standard animation of the "Sixth Sense" from the game developers, you can easily search the Internet for something new. The network has a lot, as well as fairly simple "light bulbs", and quite fancy ones. And people who understand this are even able to create their own animation.

A light bulb in WoT is a tank commander skill called "sixth sense".

Lightbulb in WoT- this is the tank commander's skill called "sixth sense". It lets you know when your tank was detected. It works very simply, when your tank is detected, a light comes on. There are many types of light bulbs that can be found on the Internet. You can also put a mod so that when an enemy finds you, not only does the light come on, but it is also accompanied by a sound signal and burns for 10 seconds (approximately the glow time).

Need.
The "sixth sense" skill is necessary on almost all tanks in the game, except for SPGs, because they usually stand in the bushes behind allied lines. Particular attention should be paid to tank destroyers that shoot from an ambush, or light tanks that shine the enemy passively (from the bushes), or heavy and slow tanks that can be covered by a flurry of artillery fire, some tanks easily break through and almost always this one saves the player from the first shot the most skill. Experienced players sometimes even without a light bulb can understand that they have been lit up.

Example.

Consider the German premium tank destroyer E25. She has practically no armor, but she has a low silhouette, therefore, she has good disguise, but this may not save her from an enemy projectile, because she can be illuminated here and there, and the “sixth sense” skill E25 will simply change position for a more profitable one.

The Maus heavy tank also needs this skill. Although he has a lot of armor, even though he can repel enemy shells with his powerful body, he can also be killed without even being noticed, or even worse, enemy artillery can cover, and our light bulb can save us from all this, warning in advance that the enemy has found us.
